WHY ARE THESE THE BEST CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

The Best Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies are soft and chewy with an irresistible crispy edge and loaded with chocolate chips.

TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST AND CHEWY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

  • Softened Slightly Melted Butter: For this recipe, you will want to make sure that your butter is softened and slightly melted.
  • 2:1 Sugar Ratio: I used more brown sugar than granulated sugar for this recipe to make them extra soft and chewy.
  • Don’t Overbake: This is very important, you do not want to overbake these cookies. I always recommend reducing cooking time by 1 min to ensure you don’t overbake as oven times do vary. Then add the additional minute/minutes. Golden brown is what you are looking for, for a done cookie.

CAN YOU FREEZE RAW COOKIE DOUGH

Yes! You can freeze raw cookie dough. I recommend pre-measuring out the Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies using your cookie scoop. Quick freeze them for 30 minutes, remove them from the freezer, place them in a freezer-safe Ziploc bag and freeze again until ready to bake them. Bake the same way, just add 2-3 minutes extra to the baking time.
