2018 In Review

A trip down memory lane, with a year in review.

2018 In Review

I can’t believe a year has gone by already. A year that I planned perfectly, or so I thought, did not go near as planned. #life

It’s been an amazing year but definitely a year of many lows, heartache, and pain.

If you’ve read other posts on here, you’d read that we’ve been struggling with fertility. It’s still a struggle and battle that has caused so much heartache and pain. But, so many lessons have been learned as we head into 2019 with a new approach.

I like to think of it as starting fresh. A fresh slate.

Is it sad I almost wanna forget 2018 happened?

Maybe so. But, at the same time we’ve made some pretty amazing memories, that ill cherish forever. Like scratching off bucket list items and hitting some BIG goals in my business. I can’t forget that.

We travelled so much this year which is something I adore. For me, travelling is about the experiences you have and the memories you make with those who mean the most. You just can’t put a “price tag” on that. I mean, of course, it cost money to do those things, but in my eyes, it’s worth every penny.

I am determined in 2019 to get more answers and clarity on our fertility struggle because we are determined to overcome this with every ounce of positive vibes I have in me. I will share with you every step of the way because I’ve learned this year that writing is a great form of therapy.

I spent too much of spring/summer 2018 dwelling on what I can’t control and I lost the beautiful relationship I built with myself. So, I am going into 2019 with a vision of things I can control. One being, stronger self-love.

Can you imagine if everything went as planned in life?

No, me either.

We just have to go with it.

So, if in 2018 you didn’t reach your goals, things didn’t go as planned and you feel defeated for whatever reason, know that you have a chance and that you have time. Just because another year is over doesn’t mean you have to give up on your hopes and dreams.

I know we can’t stop time or slow it down. But, we can be present in the moments of time, by making the best of each living and breathing moment.

My advice?

Slow down, live in the moment and soak it all in. We cannot go back in time. We cannot undo what’s already been done or what’s already happened.

I am in heading into 2019 with good intentions. And knowing from lots of learning this year, that you cannot control everything in life, has been a blessing in disguise.

I am thankful for a year full of challenges that allowed me to love harder in my marriage, and build a bigger shield than ever before to help with the unknown(s).

It’s easy to forget what’s important. And that’s love. Love with all your heart. Love with all the love you have in you. And love the sh!t out of your loved ones. AND, last but not least, eliminate the negative, toxic people in your life and ignore the haters!

Happy New Year!
